Well, things have been going just about the same. Spring is really starting to come around and the weather is beautiful.
Easter Sunday was absolutely gorgeous. We missed our close family and friends, but were able to celebrate with our adopted family here in Cali. Church was extremely full for all services on Easter. Pastor Barry gave an amazing sermon concerning salvation. He always seems to shed new light on already fascinating Biblical accounts. After church we were able to spend some time at the pool and then head over to our friend Karen's house for dinner with church family. Dinner was followed by the longest board game of all time. We ended the game early because it took forever, so we never had a winner :( We were able to talk with our family on the other coast, though. That was nice to catch up and hear that everyone is doing well.
The past couple of weeks, Don has been very busy with school. Only a few more days until he goes on "Summer Break".(only 2 weeks in April) I've been working and I took a class two weeks ago called Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course. It was a long two days of lecturing; but at the end, it all paid off. I passed and am fully certified for four more years. Thank goodness, I'm not sure that I could sit for another 16 hours!!!
My newest endeavor is preparing to apply for NP school. After much thought and prayer, I am actually getting closer to applying. I really do have the application and the thought process for a personal statement. It is definitely scary, but exciting. I'm not sure how things will work out for both of us to be in school at the same time, but I figure we'll get through with a few bumps and bruises and be better for it. Not much else is going on.
I am really excited about Don's two weeks off so we can catch up on a few things that we have been wanting to do... like the San Diego Wild Animal Park, Mexico, surfing, and so much more....
